Navigating tips: Work related decisions

As an asylum seeker, refugee or long stay visitor, you may have all the documents allowing you to work but you need to note these few points:
1. Do you have a bank account? If so do you know how to use an ATM? Do you know how to use a check (cheque)?
2. Do you have an authorization card? Do you know how to read and understand its characteristic details? Do you know where your Tax ID or Federal Number is found?
3. Do you have other documents in triplicate? This enables you to avoid moving around with originals. They may get lost.
NB. Ask an immigration support office to help you navigate through assimilation requirements in USA.

what does it feel to be well documented in usa?

tell me please...
what does it feel like?
i want to know,
am missing out on so much..
i do not want to lead a non productive life..
i make it a point to serve and help in my community,
without an identity card, i feel am an outsider,
without my papers i feel am an outsider,
indeed the descriptive "alien" is apt,
i feel am from a non-earth planet,
i feel am being done a favor,
to breathe, to smile, to look, to walk,
i look at my back always,
what if the police comes for me?
am an alien!
perhaps am a species that collects human brains!!
or am a collector of human hair?
tell me what does it feel like to be in status?
